How are you handling the in-between season transitioning from Winter to Spring? You want to pull out your springy wardrobe but it’s not quite warm enough. And it appears that Spring weather is taking it’s sweet time this year. It's been nothing short of a roller coaster, warm one day chilly the next. I say light sweaters and maxi skirts to the rescue. Hello FI readers, welcome back!
Tulle skirts in mini, midi and maxi lengths are maintaining their staying power. They're also holding their own in terms of versatility. Dress them down for a casual outing with the girls where you twirl the night away (cos a tulle skirt will have you doing that in no time :-) ) and be the envy of all or dress them up for a formal and very chic event, the tulle skirt promises to be a head turner.
This gorgeous piece with many layers of black/brown tulle and frills for volume and mini copper sequins cascading down and peeking out from under the layers for an edgy vibe is just what the doctor ordered. Long enough to ward off lingering cool temps yet light enough for mild Spring weather. I am honestly so in love with tulle skirts in all lengths, have collected quite a few and really love seeing other bloggers twists on them.

This crop top with a mock turtle neck and long sleeves caught my eye because of its rich warm mustard color. Pairing it with the fancy high waist maxi tulle skirt created a perfect figure flattering fit and flare silhouette not to mention an elongated look. If you are not comfortable baring your midriff, a high waist skirt or pants is a great way to rock the crop top trend and not feel over exposed. I completed this fun, dramatic and very girly look with a statement necklace, one of my very lovely birthday presents and glitter sandals 'cos feet want to flex sometimes too, hehe. That and a popping orange boxy clutch was sure to take this look from daytime to nighttime.
What’s your take on the tulle skirt? Loving them or hating them? Couldn’t care less? I'd love to hear all about it.
