CURFEW IN MAIDUGURI AFTER BOKO HARAM ATTACK

Nigeria's military has imposed curfew in the north eastern city of Maiduguri after asurprise Boko Haram attack. The army said the curfew was to protect lives and property.
Army troops and vigilantes had fought off the militants as they tried to enter Maiduguri on Tuesday. The latest attack was their most serious effort at entering Maiduguri  since the military captured all urban areas from Boko Haram in March.
Schools, markets and hospitals are all shut and streets deserted.
